FATORDA: Verna’s Marina English High School, St Joseph’s Educational Institute, Chandor and Our Lady of Rosary High School, Fatorda moved ahead in the U-17 Subroto Mukherjee inter-school Salcete taluka football tournament, organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, played at Astroturf ground, Fatorda on Thursday.
Marina EHS scored a solitary goal win over Government High School, Davorlim. Mysler Braganca scored the all important goal in the first session. St Joseph’s Educational Institute, Chandor recorded a 3-0 win over Mae Dos Pobres High School, Nuvem. Davis Fernandes scored a brace and Jason Costa scored one goal.
Our Lady of Rosary High School, Fatorda defeated Holy Spirit Institute, Margao 2-1. Jordon Borges and Prasad Shinde scored a goal each for Our Lady of Rosary High School while Bradley Carvalho reduced the margin for Holy Spirit Institute.
