PANJIM: Navy Children School, Vasco emerged over all runners-up in CBSE Cluster IX Athletics Meet Championship Trophy 2018-19 organised by Sanjay Ghodawat International School, Atigre-Sangli Road, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, recently.
The Navy Children School won 30 medals viz five gold, 19 silver and six bronze.
In all 991 athletes from 89 schools participated from Maharashtra and Goa.
The following are the results: Sairam Wani (gold and silver 4x400 relay); Vishal Kumar Yadav (gold and silver 4x400 relay); Gurman Singh Sandhu (gold and silver 4x400 relay); Lavneesh Sharma (gold and silver 4x400 relay, silver in 200 mts run); Adhish Sagar (gold and silver 4x400 relay, silver in long jump); Tisha Lakra (silver and bronze 4x400 relay); Aanchal Sen (silver and bronze 4x100 relay); Aditi Thakur (silver and bronze 4x100 relay); Ana Smriti Paes (silver and bronze 4x100 relay); Anu Yadav (silver and bronze 4x100 relay, 4th in 400 mts run); Pooja Prasad (silver in 4x100 relay, 4th in long jump); Mrinalini Tapadia (silver in 4x100 relay, 5th in 200 mts run); Padmaja Chauhan (silver in 4x100 relay, 4th in 800 mts run); Shruti Trapthi (silver in 4x100 relay,

Students Kanak Tyagi, Sairam Wani, Vishal Yadav, Gurman Singh Sandhu, Lavneesh Sharma and Adhish Sagar are selected for 23rd CBSE Nationals Athletics Championship 2018-19 which will be held from November 12 to 16 at PSS EMR School, Shivagangotri,
Tolahunse, Davanagere, Karnataka.
