RAIA: Dunes SC downed Candolim SC 2-0 to enter the semi-finals of Nerul Cup organised by Nerul Sports Club at the Nerul Sports Club ground, on Tuesday.
In the first half, Candolim SC started with good attacking moves putting pressure on the Dunes SC defence. Even though Candolim SC held a good ball possession, Dunes SC got a lead by a self goal from Anuj while clearing the ball in the goal area in the 25th minute of the play.
In the second half, Dunes SC took control of the match. They got their second goal from Omkar Shetgonkar in the 48 minute of the play.
Candolim SC tried to equalise but Dunes SC defence stood solid rock. The man-of-the-match was awarded to Omkar Shetgaonkar of Dunes SC.

into next round
Pedidagali Football Club pipped Jolly Boys Sinaibhag 1-0 to move into the next round of the Fondegal Youth Club 9-a-side inter-ward football tournament played at St Alex Church ground, Curtorim, on Tuesday
The match started on an attacking mode wherein both the teams tried their best to score by creating many chances but defence stood tall. Later in the ending minutes of the first half, Frezer of Pedidagali Football Club scored a brilliant goal which gave them a lead. Crossing over, Jolly Boys Sinaibhag could not beat the rival defence. Frezer of Pedidagali Football Club was awarded the man-of-the-match.

Club move ahead
Chandor Club scored a solitary goal victory over Navelim Sporting to move into the next round of Cipriano Silva Memorial 9-a-side inter-village floodlight football tournament organised by Ambelim Sports Club at Ambelim ground, on Tuesday. Chandor Club netted two goals through Akram Yadward and Allywn Faria. The man-of-the-match was awarded to Moses D’Sa of Chandor Club

Daddy Boys, Guirdolim-Chandor, secured a hard fought 1-0 victory over Setting Boys of Sao Jose de Areal to enter into the quarter-finals of 5th All Goa 8-a-side football tournament organised by Davorlim Sports and Cultural Club at Laymati football ground, Davorlim.
The match started on fast pace and both teams tried to hit the target. In the 10th minute, Santan of Daddy Boys’ powerful shoot from the box hit the crossbar and went away. Sao Jose de Areal Brasel’s right footer missed the target in the 38th minute of play.
The all-important goal came from the boots of Joaquim with powerful shoot from a 30-yard that crush into the net giving no chance to Sao Jose de Areal goalkeeper in the 60th minute of play and this goal turned out to be winning goal for Daddy Boys.
