PANJIM: Panjim Boxing Club claimed the team championship in 7th All-Goa Late Pandharinath Shirodkar memorial boxing championship organized by Panjim Boxing Club at Don Bosco Oratory, here. 
In the women’s category, Priyanka Khandeparkar (PBC) got the better of Lavania Kunchi (RCC Panjim). Malik Sab (PBC) made short work of Umeja Jainapur (People's). Kamal Mujahid (Mapusa Boys) and Deva Naik (PBC) registered comfortable wins. 
The most anticipated bout of the day was between Keith George (People's) and Sumit Bansi (PBC), which started off slowly but gained momentum in the second round. Keith made use of his height advantage and went on to win the bout although Sumit Bansi tried his best to keep up. Ganesh Bike’s (PBC) power punches forced the referee to stop the contest in the first round itself. He was later declared most promising boxer in the senior category.

Most promising boxer junior men: Bhim Gokarve (PBC). Best boxer senior men: Ravi Katimani (Margao). Most promising boxer senior men: Ganesh BK (PBC). Best boxer women: Sangeetha Thapa (PBC). Most promising boxer women: Harsha Parsekar (SAI PED).
Fr Ralin D'Souza, director, Don Bosco Oratory was the chief guest while Victoria Fernandes, ex-MLA and president of GABA was the guest of honour. Shaikh Saliya proposed the vote of thanks.
