Paresh’s journey in sports commenced as a young athlete, where he swiftly rose to prominence, representing the State of Goa in prestigious events such as the 100 metres and 200 metres on 13 Nationals and Zonal platforms. His prowess on the track earned him respect and admiration within the sporting fraternity.
Transitioning seamlessly from athlete to administrator, Kamat continued to serve Goa's sporting community with unwavering dedication. For over a decade, he held the position of Secretary at the Goa Athletics Association, steering the organisation towards excellence and fostering the growth of budding talents. Beyond his role in the Goa Athletics Association, Kamat's commitment to sports extended to the Goa Olympic Association, where he assumed the responsibility of Treasurer, stated a press release.
