PJF football coaching camp kicks off

PANJIM: The 17th annual 15-day PJF football coaching camp was inaugurated at SFS Seminary football ground, Bastora by Aldona MLA Glenn Souza Ticklo in the presence of the founder and camp director Pascoal Joao Fernandes.

PANJIM: The 17th annual 15-day PJF football coaching camp was inaugurated at SFS Seminary football ground, Bastora by Aldona MLA Glenn Souza Ticklo in the presence of the founder and camp director Pascoal Joao Fernandes.
The camp is for the boys and girls of Socorro and neighbouring villages and is conducted under the expert guidance of SAG Coach Celvin Fernandes and assisted by James Rodrigues.
In his address, Glenn appreciated the dedicated efforts of the camp director Pascoal, who despite his advanced age is still conducting the camps for the last 17 years and advised all the trainees to take full advantage and succeed as good footballers, besides their studies.
Others present were, Cosme J.A. Martins, ex-sarpanch of Ucassaim; Ranjit, panch of Bastora; Fr. Filipe Thottam, rector of SFS; Fr. Jose Fernandes, vice-rector; Celvin Fernandes, coach of Sports Authority of Goa and other dignitaries.
Earlier, Olavo De Lima Fernandes introduced the chief guest while later camp director Pascoal Joao proposed a vote of thanks.
