PANJIM: The King’s School, Sao Jose de Areal and Navy Children School, Chicalim, emerged champions in the U-14 boys and girls category respectively in the All Goa U-14 Boys and Girls Inter-School Badminton Tournament 2025 organised by The King’s Sports Academy and Shazam Sports at The King’s School’s indoor court, Sao Jose de Areal, recently.
Fr Agnel Multipurpose High School secured the runners-up position in the boys’ category. Viraditya Pai Kane was named Best Player of the Tournament.
In the U-14 girls category, Fatima Convent High School were the runners-up. Avni Khyalia was awarded Best Player of the Tournament.
The tournament featured enthusiastic participation from 10 schools bringing together talented young athletes from across the State in a spirited display of skills, teamwork and sportsmanship.
Alumnus, chief patron of the South Goa District Badminton Association and Goa Swimming Association President Yogiraj Kamat was the chief guest.
Also present were The King’s Sports Academy Founder and President Melvin Pereira, CEO and Vice-President Ligia Pereira, The King’s School Principal Tanuja V N Dessai, Headmaster Wilson Varghese and TKSA badminton coach Tauheed Khwaja.
