Vishant wins All-Goa PE Teachers chess

PANJIM: Vishant Priolkar of Lokvishwas Pratishthan won the All-Goa PE Teachers Chess Tournament jointly organized by Ponda Taluka PE Teachers Association and Ponda Taluka Chess Association at Sports Complex Hall, Ponda.

PANJIM: Vishant Priolkar of Lokvishwas Pratishthan won the All-Goa PE Teachers Chess Tournament jointly organized by Ponda Taluka PE Teachers Association and Ponda Taluka Chess Association at Sports Complex Hall, Ponda.
Devendra Gaude of Govt. High School, Keri-Sattari got 2nd place and Vishwas Prabhudesai of Anandibai Mahanandu High School, Madkai got 3rd place. A total 26 players participated in this tournament.  
Devidas Naik (Shenvi HS, Margao), Premanand Kudalkar (Pragati HS, Borim), Sailee Gaude (Mahatma Gandhi HS, Gaunem), Sarvesh Parab (Our Lady Mother of the Popular, Quepem), Govind Navelkar (Almeida HS, Ponda), Shrikant Pathak (Dada Vaidya HS, Curti) and Atmaram Naik (SS Samiti’s IVBD, Dhavli) got 4th to 10th place respectively.
Chief Guest of the function was Jayant Miringkar. He congratulated the organisers for promoting Chess in Ponda. The Guest of Honour was Shripad Parkhe (Manager, LIC) Sagar Sakordekar (Vice-President, Goa Chess Association and President, Ponda Taluka Chess Association), Vishwas Prabhudesai, President, Ponda Taluka PE Teachers Association and Amogh Namshiker, Chief Arbiter of the tournament were also present on the dais.
Archana  Tendulkar, Sandeep Pagi, Sandesh Naik and Anand Kurtiker worked very hard for making this tournament a great success.
Shantesh Verkar compered and Sandeep Pagi proposed the vote of thanks.
