Amidst powerful storms that swept across the Spanish island of Mallorca, the MV Britannia, the flagship of P&O Cruises unexpectedly broke free from its moorings in Palma port and was carried by the forceful currents, ultimately colliding with the starboard side of a stationary oil tanker. Fortunately, both passengers and crew on board managed to avoid serious harm, although a few passengers did sustain minor injuries. Notably, more than 100 employees from Goa who were working on the MV Britannia were among those who escaped the dangerous situation.
