The Old Goa Police apprehended one person on charges of defrauding over 100 Goan youth by falsely promising lucrative job opportunities abroad. The accused has been identified 25-year-old Aniket Gaikwad, from Maharashtra. Between November 2022 and February 2023, Gaikwad posed as recruitment agents and employed various tactics to persuade people into paying them a total sum of approximately Rs. 13,00,000 under the guise of securing employment abroad.
