‘Mall de Goa’, Goa’s biggest mall to be launched today

PANJIM: The state’s first full fledged mall ‘Mall de Goa’, will be launched today by Manohar Parrikar , Defense Minister in the presence of the CM and other members of the political elite.

 The much delayed mall which cost the promoters Jai Bhuvan Group approximately a Rs. 100 crores. This is the final stop of a process that commenced in 2009 when the permission was first given. 
Speaking to the press Rajesh Shet, Director said the delay was due to the retailers unable to complete their outlets o schedule. Speaking about the effect of the mall on the state’s retail space he said, the absence of a fully fledged mall was glaring and that this mall would fill that space. He said “Although it is one of the most developed regions in India, Goa does not have the offer that answers the needs of its citizens and numerous visitors. The buyers in Goa miss the diverse assortment of goods and greater amount of luxury brands, as well as entertainment at one place. That’s why we launched ‘Mall de Goa’’.
Bhuvanish Shet, Director adds, “This is an ideal opportunity for the Goans as well as tourists coming to Goa to have a perfect shopping and entertainment experience under one roof.”
‘Mall de Goa’ with more than 80 local, national and international brands is expected to provide a shopping experience experienced by people in several other cities in the country.  The consumers will have a diverse assortment of both utility and luxury products along with entertainment and food, which is the greatest convenience for the consumers.
‘Mall de Goa’ offers an array of sumptuous cuisine within its exotic food court with seven counters, Fine Dining Restaurants, Family entertainment center - Kids and Gaming, A four screen INOX multiplex with a capacity of 1000 seats on the second floor. The promoters have made arrangement for 400 cars to be parked in the facility. When asked for the time frame before the promoters would make a profit, Bhuvanish Shet said, “In seven years we will make a profit”.
