The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has directed the makers of Baaghi 4 to cut 23 visual and audio sequences despite granting the film an ‘A’ certificate. According to Bollywood Hungama, the final approved runtime stands at 2 hours, 37 minutes and 5 seconds.
Among the deletions are a scene where the hero stands on a coffin, violent visuals of throats being slit and hands chopped, and a frontal nudity shot that was digitally obscured. A sequence showing a cigarette being lit from an amputated hand, and another where a knife is hurled towards a statue of Jesus Christ, were also removed.
Dialogues underwent heavy censoring, with words like “bhang b*****a,” “b****e,” and “fingering” replaced, while the word “condom” in one line was muted. Additional violent scenes totaling over 6 minutes were cut after the makers voluntarily trimmed the runtime from the initial 163.50 minutes.
Directed by A Harsha, the action thriller stars Tiger Shroff alongside Sanjay Dutt in a negative role, with Harnaaz Sandhu, Shreyas Talpade, Sonam Bajwa, and others. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Baaghi 4 releases this Friday.
