
Dr Celina Nazareth, has been promoted as Professor in Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at PES’s Rajaram and Tarabai Bandekar College of Pharmacy, Farmagud. She is the first woman to be promoted as Professor in Pharmacy in the history of pharmacy colleges in Goa. A committed and passionate teacher in subject of Pharmaceutical Analysis, she has a vast teaching experience of 26 years having worked as lecturer in JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru, Goa College of Pharmacy, Panjim and industrial experience at Adelphi Pharmaceuticals, Tivim.
Dr Celina has been a gold medalist at BPharm and MPharm examinations of Goa University having graduated from Goa College of Pharmacy, Goa and pursued her Doctorate in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Centre for Pharmaceutical Sciences, Institute of Science and Technology, JNTU, Hyderabad, being also the first woman of Goan origin among the teachers in pharmacy colleges in Goa.
Dr Celina is a PhD Guide of Goa University. She is also a member of Board of Studies in Faculty of Pharmacy, Goa University, Goa. She has many research papers to her credit in both national and international journals. She has bagged awards for her research publication and in oral presentation at pharmaceutical conferences. She has presented her research work at the FIP Bangkok, Thailand and at the OMICS Group International Conference at Beijing, China. Recently, she was an invited speaker at International Conference in Dubai.
Originally hailing from Nachinola, Dr Celina is the daughter of Agnel and Carmen D’Souza. Married to Dr Roshan Nazareth, Health Officer, PHC, Candolim, she is mother of Reuben, Rachel and Reanna.
