Beyonce took home the Grammy Award for album of the year for ‘Cowboy Carter’. The award was presented to Beyonce with her daughter Blue Ivy Carter on stage, by members of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Chappell Roan accepted the trophy for Best New Artist at the 2025 Grammys. She used her speech to demand that labels offer “a livable wage and healthcare, especially to developing artists…. Labels, we got you, but do you got us?”
Shakira won Best Latin Pop Album for ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran’ and received it from another Latina superstar, Jennifer Lopez. She dedicated her award to her immigrant brothers and sisters. “To all my immigrant brothers and sisters in this country. You are loved. You are worth it and I will always fight with you," said Shakira in her acceptance speech.
Indian-Origin Chandrika Tandon wins Grammy for Triveni
Indian-American singer and entrepreneur Chandrika Tandon won the Grammy for her album ‘Triveni’ in the Best New Age, Ambient, or Chant Album category, beating out competitors including Indians like Ricky Kej and Anoushka Shankar. Chandrika shared the honour with her collaborators - South African flautist Wouter Kellerman and Japanese cellist Eru Matsumoto. Chandrika is a two-time Grammy-nominated musical artist.
Kendrick Lamar wins big
Kendrick Lamar snagged both record of the year and song of the year for his song ‘Not Like Us’. He offered advice to up-and-coming artists, saying, “To the young artists … I just hope you respect the art form.” He was nominated for five awards.
