Goa received a vibrant boost on August 9 as Chief Minister Pramod Sawant inaugurated the 14th edition of the Goa Marathi Film Festival in Panaji. Celebrating Marathi cinema, the festival serves as a significant platform for filmmakers, artists, and enthusiasts to come together and showcase cinematic excellence. Organised by the Vinson Group, this two-day event promises a rich lineup of films and creative workshops aimed at fostering artistic collaboration and innovation.
Also, at the inauguration ceremony, CM Pramod Sawant was joined by several distinguished guests, including acclaimed actors Mahesh Manjrekar and Mrinal Kulkarni. Sharing glimpses of the event on his official social media handle, Sawant praised the festival as a “vibrant celebration of Marathi cinema” and extended his warm welcome to the attending artists, directors, and dignitaries. He congratulated festival organiser Sanjay Shetye for orchestrating the event that significantly enriches Goa’s cultural heritage.
