As promised, he indeed is back! After the previous film, ‘Terminator Salvation’, turned out to be somewhat of a dud, fans of the ‘Terminator’ franchise are waiting with bated breath world over to watch Arnold Schwarzenegger once again play the T-800 Terminator on screen. The trailers that have been doing the rounds on social media are impressive and give the impression that the plot is somewhat interesting this time around.

Akshay Mhapsekar from Margao says, “I’ve grown up watching the ‘90s version of the ‘Terminator’ and the opening scene of the trailer of ‘Terminator: Genisys’ takes you back to James Cameron’s original entry for the Terminator. According to the synopsis of the film, ‘Terminator: Genisys’ is the first part of a standalone ‘Terminator’ trilogy. In it, John Connor, leader of the resistance in the year 2029, continues the war against the machines. When he learns of a plot to send a Terminator back in time to kill his mother, he sends Kyle Reese to protect her, but the Sarah Connor that Kyle encounters, is not who he expects. I’m excited to see how it all unfolds.”

Nolan Mascarenhas from Anjuna says, “I’m looking forwards to see Schwarzenegger vs Schwarzenegger. There’s an epic battle between the two. I’m also kicked to watch Emilia Clarke who plays Sarah Connor. Also, T-800, the liquid terminator, is back, so that should be fun. Not to mention the action that is bound to be there.” Amisha Parkar from Betim says, “The movie trailers have successfully done their job of creating excitement and I can’t wait to watch it. From what I know from the trailers, all hell breaks loose in Skynet as Kyle goes back in time to save Sarah. We see humanity’s saviour John Connor turn evil killing machine and T-800 is back with Sarah Connor to save John from wiping out the human race. Rumour has it that the film also features the younger version of T-800, T-1000, who is programmed to kill Sarah Connor. With so much to offer, the movie sure has made its fans anxious.”

‘Terminator: Genisys’, directed by Alan Taylor (‘Game of Thrones’, ‘Thor: The Dark World’), brings back franchise icon Arnold Schwarzenegger as the T-800 Terminator alongside newcomers Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, Jason Clarke, Matt Smith, Byung-Hun Lee, and JK Simmons.
