With a tremendous rise in the number of accidents taking place, the Navelim junction has turned into the most dangerous accident prone zone and everyone is under the fear of being knocked down by another vehicle.
Over the past few months we have seen many accidents taking place at this dangerous junction which has in turn resulted in the loss of our family members or friends. However it is very sad that inspite of many accidents resulting into fatalities of many people, our government officials have failed to provide us with the appropriate safety at this junction. With the developments taking place day by day, we have somehow been at the risk.
During the initial stage there were no signals and no proper sign boards placed at this junction which had resulted in many accidents. Moreover after the installation of the signals we have seen many people breaking traffic rules and trying to escape the signals and thus the red signal has been a death sign to many.
With a dangerous junction with lack of proper planning and security we have lost our beloved ones. Thus it is high time that our officials take strict actions not only against the overspeeding vehicles but also punish all those who try to escape the signals. It would be of great help to all the Goans to have police personnel stationed at this junction to ensure security of our citizens. Requesting our MLAs to take this as a very serious note and act on it before it is too late. We have seen this sign board which says “It Is Better To Be Late than Never”.
Thus I feel all the motorists should see to the safety of their fellow drivers and riders and ride safely and responsibly. Additionally if our officials try to analyse and check how they can ensure safety at this spot it will prevent many accidents and thus many lives will be saved.
