GOD created the world: --- insect life, animal life, plant life, other aspects of the environment and finally man; making all interdependent in some way or the other. So, the ‘Right to live’ in this world is not a prerogative of human beings alone. It applies to animals as well as the other parts of the environment.
Man does not understand this co-dependence and so he destroys much of the organic unity of life. Forests disappear by cutting trees. If all the trees are cut, we cannot survive. Man breathes in oxygen and throws out carbon dioxide; trees take in carbon dioxide and throw out oxygen. Man cannot live without trees and trees cannot live without man.
For over 100 years, leopards and humans lived in relative peace in the lush forest. Man used his God given freewill to destroy environment; he encroached, the woods, the natural habitat of animals and looted the earth of its resources with deforestation. Now the peace between man and animal lies shattered. In this way, men behave irresponsibly because his greed has found another strange God called money whom he worships.
Nature tried to minimize pollution and disorder and restore its balance. It reacted towards men’s careless and abusive ways of interference with environment; its method of dealing with men were, earthquakes, volcanoes, and virus like, Spanish flu, smallpox, cholera swine flu etc. It wanted men to realize his faults and behave properly towards the natural world. But men remain unconcerned, unworried, undisturbed and never learn from past happenings. Of late, we have seen that an invisible microbe --- deadly disease of corona virus, is threatening people’s lives; with tragic consequences. Many say, that Covid-19 problem is like a huge mountain which seems to them as the punishment of God and revolt of Nature against men.
The best brain tries various means to put an end to this virus. But when the reasoning of science and medicine fails to provide immediate solution to their problems, man turns to God and prays, because what is humanly impossible becomes possible with God.
Earthlings pray, “My Lord and my God! Just as, You, calmed the storm on Lake Galilee as the disciples were gripped with fear due to their boat being tossed, we are gripped with fear as we are tossed with corona virus. My Lord and my God, You are the divine doctor, cure those who are affected and remove this corona virus from this earth. Amen.”
Jesus said to His disciples, who thought they were going to drown, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?”
Yes, God often uses painful and difficult circumstances to get our attention. God is a just, loving, and merciful. He is always there to help us in His time with a vaccine for Covid -19.
Let us look towards spiritual science and regain our spiritual lives. Let us work towards a world where the human mind is without violence and the environment is without pollution. We should recognise our faults and correct them and not continue with our mistakes. If we do not mend our ways, be sure, we will be all marching towards a miserable future.
