The disappearance of habitats, due to expanding farms and cities leaving less room for wild life, which are essential for flora and fauna; and the extinction of species with hunting and pollution “are direct result of human activity and constitute a direct threat to human well-being in all regions of the world.”
Forest are gradually being destroyed which will soon lead to scarcity of oxygen in the air and it will endanger life on earth as no creatures can live without oxygen; he pollutes water and air. Man’s free movement have been curtailed by lockdown; the liberty to watching movies in cinema halls, shopping at crowded malls, attending weddings and religious functions; celebrating birthdays, or family picnics on holidays; going for music classes or to Church for Masses; Man’s freedom of association seems to have been stopped or shortened and some wonder whether we are coming towards the end of our generation.
The much required cosmic balance consists of the opposites in life. Day and night; without its existence life would become dull; male and female, without woman, man would be incomplete. So, are with all other opposite things in life which are interdependent and interconnected. We are part of the natural habitat and earthly system of environment -- flora and fauna are ecological parts. They all play a key role in maintaining the ecosystem balance. Therefore, we have to take responsibility for our actions. ‘The ‘Right to live’ is not a prerogative of human beings. It applies to animals as well. Without this forceful balance of opposites, life would be chaos.
On the canvas of creation Human beings, are not the only life but the entire creation are wrapped in a cosmic net. So, if humankind is wiped out on this planet, the environment will not miss us at all. In fact, the environment and every other life will be happy without us. This pandemic has really proved that nature can live beautifully without the existence of human beings.
