In a major drug bust, the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and the Indian Coast Guard have seized 300 kg of methamphetamine worth ₹1,800 crore, in a joint operation near the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) off the Gujarat coast.

According to officials, the narcotics were allegedly smuggled from Pakistan and were dumped into the sea by smugglers aboard a Pakistani fishing boat after spotting an Indian patrol vessel half a mile inside Indian waters.

The operation, carried out with precision and coordination, marks one of the largest seizures of methamphetamine in recent times. Authorities have launched further investigations to track the origin and intended recipients of the consignment.

This seizure adds to growing concerns about narco-terrorism and drug trafficking routes operating via the Arabian Sea, with security agencies maintaining high alert along the western coastline.
