The Indian Army has identified the Abbas Terrorist Camp in Kotli, located in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, as a major operational hub for Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), specifically designed for training suicide bombers.
According to military sources, the camp functioned as a nerve centre, equipped with key training infrastructure used to prepare more than 50 terrorists, many of whom were trained for high-impact suicide missions.
The revelation comes as part of ongoing disclosures following Operation Sindoor, during which Indian forces conducted precision strikes on multiple terrorist facilities in Pakistan and PoK. The Abbas camp was one of the primary targets due to its strategic importance in LeT’s terror network.
The Army emphasized that eliminating such camps is vital to disrupting cross-border terrorism networks and ensuring national security.
