In a strategic move to streamline operations and optimize its fleet amid a persistent aircraft shortage, Air India has announced the discontinuation of all flights between Manohar International Airport (Mopa) and London Gatwick Airport (LGW).
The decision is part of a broader effort by the airline to centralize its international services and ensure better alignment of available aircraft resources.
“This adjustment is aimed at enhancing operational efficiency as we work to manage current fleet limitations,” an Air India spokesperson said.
While the airline has not confirmed if the route will resume in the future, affected passengers are being assisted with alternative travel arrangements. The move is expected to help Air India maintain network stability as it undergoes a phased transformation under its post-privatization roadmap.
