
In Air India flight heading to Jodhpur was forced to halt its take-off on Friday after an operational problem arose, prompting the crew to return the aircraft to the bay.
Air India said in a statement, “Flight AI645 operating from Mumbai to Jodhpur on 22 August returned to the bay due to an operational issue. The cockpit crew followed SOPs, discontinued the take-off, and made alternate arrangements to transport passengers to Jodhpur.”
Earlier incidents highlight recurring technical challenges. On 17 August, Flight AI504 from Kochi to Delhi experienced a delay after a technical snag was spotted during take-off, with the aircraft returning to the bay for safety checks.
Additionally, the DGCA recently issued a warning to Air India for flight time regulation violations, urging the airline to ensure rigorous compliance with aviation safety standards.
