Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan approached the Delhi High Court on Tuesday, seeking protection of her personality rights. She requested the court to prevent certain individuals from misusing her name, images, and AI-generated pornographic content. Justice Tejas Karia indicated that he may issue an ad-interim order restraining the defendants.
Senior advocate Sandeep Sethi, representing Rai, stated that the actor wants to safeguard her publicity and personality rights, emphasizing that entirely fabricated intimate images of her are circulating online. "No one has the right to exploit her images, likeness, or persona. Someone is even earning money using my name and face," Sethi added. "Her identity is being used to satisfy sexual interests, which is extremely disturbing," he further noted.
Aishwarya Rai was also represented by advocates Pravin Anand and Dhruv Anand. The court has scheduled the next proceedings before the joint registrar on November 7, and a hearing before the court on January 15, 2026.
