Amit Shah Confirms Killers Behind Pahalgam Terror Attack Eliminated in Operation Mahadev

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday confirmed that the three terrorists eliminated during Operation Mahadev were directly responsible for the brutal Pahalgam terror attack, where civilians were killed after being identified by their religion. Shah made the announcement during a 75-minute address in the Lok Sabha, citing both physical and forensic evidence to support the claim.

The three slain militants—identified as Suleiman Shah, Hamza Afghan, and Jibran Bhai—were neutralized in a joint operation by the Indian Army, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and Jammu and Kashmir Police.

“I want to inform the House that the security forces have successfully eliminated the terrorists who were responsible for the heinous killing of innocent civilians in Pahalgam,” Shah said. “They asked people about their religion before executing them in front of their families.”

Shah also referenced Operation Sindoor, which he said was executed under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership to take down the masterminds behind the April 22 terror strike.

In a pointed political message, Shah accused the Congress party of historically adopting a soft stance on terrorism and Pakistan. Tracing the roots of the issue back to the 1940s, he suggested that Congress’ acceptance of India’s partition laid the groundwork for the ongoing terrorism problem.

The strong statement in Parliament underscores the government's firm posture on national security and its ongoing crackdown on cross-border terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
