A “better late than never” kind of submission scenario arose when Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif finally admitted that India inflicted significant damage during Operation Sindhur. The Pakistani Prime Minister accepted that India’s ballistic missiles attacked Nur Khan Airbase and other locations on May 10. Until now, Pakistani military officials had maintained that their airbases remained intact and that all Indian missiles were destroyed. However, PM Shehbaz Sharif has finally expressed his pain, once again exposing the Pakistani military’s claims.
“I was informed about the attacks at 2:30 AM”
PM Shehbaz Sharif said that Army Chief General Asim Munir called him at around 2:30 AM to inform him about the attacks. Sharif mentioned the Pakistan Air Force’s use of indigenous technology and Chinese jet aircraft, and confirmed that India’s missiles pierced their targets. Addressing a ceremony held at the Pakistan Memorial on Friday, PM Sharif said, “On the night between May 9 and 10, around 2:30 AM, General Syed Asim Munir called me on a secure line and informed me that India’s ballistic missiles targeted Nur Khan Airbase and other areas. Our Air Force used indigenous technology to protect the country and employed advanced gadgets and technology on Chinese jets.”
