A man has been apprehended in relation to the murder of Congress worker Himani Narwal, whose remains were discovered in a suitcase on Saturday, according to sources. Her mobile device and jewelry were also retrieved from the suspect, as reported. Narwal, believed to be in her late 20s, was found concealed within a suitcase in Rohtak, prompting the Haryana Police to establish a special investigation team (SIT) to examine the case. The individual in custody, a resident of Bahadurgarh, was identified as a friend of Narwal.
Congress MLA from Rohtak, BB Batra, remarked on Sunday that Narwal was a "very good and active" member of the party, actively participating in various events, including the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi. On Sunday, her family refused to proceed with her cremation until her assailants were apprehended. Her mother, Savita, expressed to reporters that certain leaders within the party may have been envious of her rapid political ascent. "It could be anyone in the party who was jealous about her rise, or it could be anyone else," she stated.
The most recent conversation I had with her occurred on February 27. She mentioned that she would be occupied with a party event the following day; however, subsequently, her phone was discovered to be turned off. Until my daughter receives justice, we will not proceed with her cremation, she stated.
