Six people, including an 80-year-old man, lost their lives after a portion of the roof of a dargah collapsed in Delhi’s Nizamuddin area on Friday evening.
The incident occurred at the Dargah Sharif Patte Shah, located close to Humayun’s Tomb, while devotees had gathered for Friday prayers.
At least five others sustained injuries and were rushed to the AIIMS Trauma Centre for treatment, officials confirmed. Rescue teams and local authorities quickly reached the site to assist victims and assess structural damage.
The cause of the collapse is yet to be officially determined, but authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
