A four-storey building collapsed in Northeast Delhi’s Welcome area early Saturday morning, sparking a massive rescue operation. The incident occurred around 7 am, and several people are feared to be trapped under the rubble.

Emergency services, including seven fire tenders and disaster response teams, were quickly deployed to the site. So far, four individuals have been rescued, while at least three more are believed to still be trapped beneath the debris.

“We received a distress call at around 7 am regarding the building collapse. Multiple rescue teams are on-site and working to clear the debris,” a senior police official stated.

The exact cause of the collapse is yet to be determined, and authorities have begun an investigation. Further updates are awaited as rescue efforts continue.
