Heavy rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lashed Bengaluru late Tuesday evening, causing severe waterlogging across several parts of the city. The worst impact was reported at low-lying junctions and underpasses, disrupting traffic and daily life.

North Bengaluru’s Hennur was among the worst-hit, with roads submerged under several inches of water. Other areas such as Richmond Town, BTM Layout, Sarjapur, and Electronics City in the central and southern parts of the city also experienced moderate to heavy showers. Eastern localities like Marathahalli and western zones including Rajajinagar reported similar conditions.

Although Bengaluru has not been placed under an official weather warning, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rainfall for the city over the next 24 hours. Meanwhile, a yellow alert has been issued for Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Mandya, and Kodagu, cautioning residents about the likelihood of heavy rain and thunderstorms in those districts.
