
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Saudi Arabia on April 22-23, 2025, and aims to strengthen the relationship between India and Saudi Arabia. The discussions will cover major issues such as the situation in West Asia, the Israel-Palestine conflict, and maritime security concerns due to Houthi attacks. Modi and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman will also discuss improving defence cooperation and increasing trade between the two countries, which is already valued at around $43 billion.
A key part of the visit will be a meeting of the Strategic Partnership Council, which focuses on security, culture, trade, and investment. Modi will also meet with the Indian community in Saudi Arabia, which numbers about 2.7 million people. This visit is seen as an important opportunity for both nations to work together on regional security, economic growth, and strengthening cultural ties, highlighting the growing importance of the India-Saudi Arabia relationship in recent years.
