In a gruesome incident in the US city of Dallas, a 50-year-old Indian man, Chandra Nagamallaiah, was brutally attacked and beheaded with a machete following an argument with his employee.
The incident occurred on Wednesday at a motel where Nagamallaiah, originally from Karnataka, worked. According to reports, he had instructed his employee, 37-year-old Yordanis Cobos-Martinez, not to use a broken washing machine. Tensions escalated after Nagamallaiah asked another worker to translate his instructions instead of addressing Cobos-Martinez directly, which allegedly angered the accused.
Cobos-Martinez then fetched a machete and stabbed Nagamallaiah multiple times. Despite his attempt to flee towards the front office, Nagamallaiah was chased down and fatally attacked.
The victim’s wife and 18-year-old son, who rushed out of the office to intervene, were pushed aside by the accused. Authorities have since taken Cobos-Martinez into custody, and an investigation into the shocking killing is underway.
