Over 170 passengers traveling on IndiGo’s Surat–Dubai flight faced a brief disruption on Thursday after the aircraft developed a technical snag mid-air. The Airbus A320-271N, flight 6E 1507, took off from Surat at 9:45 a.m. but was diverted to Ahmedabad, where it landed safely at 11:40 a.m.
Clarifying details, airport officials said the landing was precautionary and not declared an emergency. IndiGo quickly deployed another aircraft to complete the passengers’ journey to Dubai, while the affected jet remains under maintenance at Ahmedabad airport.
