A crackdown in Jammu and Kashmir following the Pahalgam terror attack has now intensified, with security forces demolishing the homes of terrorists in the past six days. The homes belong to individuals linked to groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and The Resistance Front. Among the demolished houses are those of terrorists such as Adil Hussain Thoker, Zakir Ahmad Ganai, and Ahsan ul Haq Amir, who have been accused of involvement in terror activities in the region.

The operation is part of efforts to dismantle the terror ecosystem in the Kashmir Valley. Security forces have identified individuals like Thoker and Shahid Ahmad Kuttay as significant threats, with Thoker suspected of being directly involved in the recent attack that left over 25 tourists and a local pony ride operator dead. The attack, which occurred at Baisaran meadow near Pahalgam, was carried out by at least five terrorists.

The authorities have emphasised that these demolitions and the ongoing searches are aimed at eliminating terror-related infrastructure and activities in the region.
