Karnataka Minister Reveals Two Failed Honey-Trap Attempts, Calls for Investigation
Published on

Karnataka Public Works Minister Satish Jarkiholi revealed on Thursday that two attempts had been made to honey-trap a senior state minister, though both were unsuccessful. He called for a police investigation into the matter. "There were two attempts, but they weren't successful. This is not the first honey trap incident in Karnataka," Jarkiholi stated when questioned about the issue.

In the Karnataka legislative assembly, another minister claimed that 48 ministers, not just one or two, had fallen prey to similar political traps. This led Karnataka's Home Minister G Parameshwara to announce a high-level investigation into the alleged honey-trap attempts during the assembly's budget session on Thursday.

The issue gained further attention after former BJP minister V Sunil Kumar raised the matter in the assembly on Wednesday. He accused the Congress government of operating a "honey-trap factory" and demanded action from the home department. What initially started as speculation has now escalated into a significant political controversy.
