Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has firmly condemned Pakistan, labeling it a "terrorist nation" and asserting that the Indian armed forces are delivering an "appropriate retaliation" to its provocations. Speaking to the media after offering prayers in Pune district, Fadnavis said, "Pakistan has consistently supported terrorism. Its operations and actions demonstrate this support. Our armed forces are responding decisively, and we take pride in them."

Fadnavis further stressed that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, India will not tolerate terrorism and will respond decisively to such threats. He highlighted the Indian military's swift actions following recent escalations, especially after the Pahalgam terror attack, which led to India's Operation Sindoor targeting and destroying multiple terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

In addition to praising the armed forces, Fadnavis pointed out that Maharashtra is on high alert. The state government has reassessed internal security measures, conducted mock drills, and ensured coordination among police, the Coast Guard, and Navy units. Holidays for key officials have been cancelled, and cyber cells are closely monitoring social media for activity supporting Pakistan.

Fadnavis's comments come amid rising tensions at the India-Pakistan border, with India reporting that Pakistani forces attempted air intrusions at more than 26 locations, all of which were successfully neutralized by Indian forces.
