South Mumbai commuters faced potential delays on Monday morning as Maratha protesters, led by Manoj Jarange, occupied Azad Maidan and several surrounding areas. The Mumbai traffic police issued an advisory urging motorists to expect occasional disruptions while travelling towards south Mumbai.
“Azad Maidan: Expect slow traffic and occasional disruption tomorrow morning while commuting towards south Mumbai due to ongoing agitation. Keep following directions given at traffic junctions to minimise delays,” the police posted on their official social media handle.
Authorities advised drivers to plan alternate routes and remain vigilant while navigating affected areas.
