Local motorists have repeatedly highlighted the safety risks at Naibag Poraskade Junction, pointing out that poor lighting makes it difficult to spot turns or react to signals in time. Two-wheeler riders, in particular, feel especially vulnerable while navigating the junction at night, with some reporting near misses due to sudden braking or pedestrians crossing unexpectedly.
Residents and frequent commuters are urging authorities to install a high mast light at the junction. They argue that better illumination would improve visibility, regulate traffic more effectively, and prevent accidents. As a key connecting point on NH-66, the junction should not be ignored, they insist, calling on highway and transport authorities to act before more mishaps occur.
