National Democratic Alliance (NDA) nominee CP Radhakrishnan will formally file his nomination for the Vice Presidential election on Wednesday at 11:00 am in Parliament House, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi leading the list of proposers.

The nomination process will be completed in four sets, each endorsed by 20 proposers and 20 seconders. While the first set will carry PM Modi’s signature as the chief proposer, the other sets will include Union ministers and senior NDA leaders, underscoring broad support within the alliance.

According to sources, around 160 NDA members, including Cabinet ministers, MPs, and key leaders, are expected to accompany Radhakrishnan during the filing of his papers.

Radhakrishnan, a seasoned BJP leader and former MP from Tamil Nadu, was announced as the NDA’s Vice Presidential candidate earlier this month. His nomination is widely seen as a move to strengthen the party’s outreach in southern India, where the BJP has been working to expand its footprint.

The Vice Presidential election is scheduled for later this month, with the winner set to succeed the incumbent, Jagdeep Dhankhar.
