India has avenged the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Amid ongoing tensions with its neighbour, the Indian Armed Forces fired missiles at nine terrorist hideouts located in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Exactly 15 days after the deadly Pahalgam terror attack, India struck back with precision. According to reports, the Indian military conducted airstrikes on terror camps in both Pakistan and PoK. This mission has been code-named ‘Operation Sindoor’ by Indian forces.

The Ministry of Defence stated that the Indian military targeted terrorist infrastructure from where attacks against India were being planned and directed. In total, nine locations were struck. The ministry clarified that the operation was focused, pre-planned, and non-escalatory in nature. No Pakistani military installation was targeted.

The ministry further added that India exercised significant restraint in selecting targets and carrying out the operation. This action comes in response to the barbaric terrorist attack in Pahalgam, in which 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen were killed. “We remain committed to holding those responsible for this attack accountable,” the ministry said. More details about ‘Operation Sindoor’ will be released soon.
