Published on

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently chaired a high-level security meeting with key defence officials, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, and the heads of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, to assess the progress of Operation Sindoor. The discussions focused on the Indian armed forces' successful response to Pakistan’s drone and missile attacks along the western border, as well as strategies to ensure operational readiness and enhance coordination among various security agencies. Modi emphasized the importance of a unified, whole-of-government approach to bolster national security and manage the ongoing crisis effectively.

The Prime Minister also underscored the need to strengthen civil defence systems, combat misinformation, and protect critical infrastructure. The government reaffirmed that India’s military actions have been precise and targeted solely at terrorist launch pads and military sites, contrasting them with Pakistan’s attacks on civilian areas. These meetings highlight the government's commitment to safeguarding the nation amid escalating tensions and continued support for the armed forces in securing India's borders.
