The Border Security Force (BSF) has captured a Pakistani Ranger near the India-Pakistan border in Rajasthan. This official information was released on Saturday.
Now, tensions between India and Pakistan have sharply escalated following the detention of the Pakistani Ranger. This development comes shortly after Pakistan detained BSF constable Purnam Kumar Sahu, who had inadvertently crossed into Pakistani territory in Punjab. These reciprocal detentions have strained diplomatic ties and deepened mistrust between the two nations.
Meanwhile, the Line of Control has witnessed its tenth consecutive night of ceasefire violations, with Pakistani posts firing across multiple sectors, including Kupwara, Poonch, and Rajouri. Indian forces have responded in kind, though no casualties have been reported so far. This surge in hostilities follows the deadly Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 civilian lives, further destabilizing the already fragile peace and raising concerns of a broader escalation between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.
