Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday extended heartfelt congratulations to renowned public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam on his nomination to the Rajya Sabha, commending his unwavering dedication to the legal profession and to upholding the Constitution.
Nikam is one of four distinguished individuals nominated to the Upper House by President Droupadi Murmu, filling seats vacated by the retirement of previously nominated members.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi lauded Nikam's significant contributions to the legal system and his commitment to justice and dignity for all citizens.
“Shri Ujjwal Nikam’s commitment to the legal field and the Constitution is truly admirable. He has played a key role in securing justice in several high-profile cases and has always stood firm in defense of Constitutional values. His efforts to ensure that every citizen is treated with dignity are commendable,” the Prime Minister stated. “It is heartening to see him nominated to the Rajya Sabha.
