This milestone positions India as the fourth most represented country globally, trailing only the United States, United Kingdom, and China. The rise signals a dramatic 390% growth in India’s representation over the past decade, underlining its growing global stature in higher education.
Among the Indian entries, the University of Delhi stands out with a remarkable score of 98.9 in employment outcomes—the highest among Indian institutions. Despite its overall global rank of 328, this performance showcases its strength in producing job-ready graduates. However, its employer reputation score remains modest at 41.9.
IIT Bombay follows as a key player, ranked 129 globally, and leads all Indian institutions in employer reputation with an impressive score of 96.7. Its employment outcomes score of 72.6 reflects the success of its alumni and the strong industry value of its degrees.
IIT Delhi, securing its best-ever global rank at 123, also features prominently in terms of employability. It scored 50.5 in employment outcomes and a solid 95 in employer reputation, reinforcing its status as a top-tier destination for career-oriented education.
