Row in Bihar as Viral Video Shows Abuses at PM Modi; BJP Targets Rahul Gandhi

A political storm has erupted in Bihar after a video from the Congress-led ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ in Darbhanga went viral, showing abuses directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late mother. The remarks were made using the event’s stage mic, though the speaker is not visible in the footage.

Rahul Gandhi, who is leading the yatra alongside RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav, was not present when the incident occurred. Still, the BJP has accused him of being responsible.

On its official X handle, the BJP wrote: “Indecent language was used from Rahul and Tejashwi’s yatra stage against the revered late mother of Prime Minister Modi. Such vulgarity has never been seen before in politics.”

The BJP alleged that the Congress-RJD yatra had “crossed all limits” and criticised the presence of leaders like Tamil Nadu CM M.K. Stalin and Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, claiming they had previously insulted Bihar.

Senior BJP leader Vishwas Kailash Sarang demanded Rahul Gandhi personally apologise. “Even if Rahul and Tejashwi beg for forgiveness a thousand times, the people of Bihar will not forgive them,” he said.

Rahul Gandhi or Tejashwi Yadav have not commented on the matter. The ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ is part of Rahul’s broader push accusing the BJP and Election Commission of collusion in rigging elections.
