Shimla police are on high alert after three Class 6 students from a prestigious boys’ boarding school went missing on Saturday. The incident came to light when the boys, who had been allowed their regular weekend day out, left the campus at 12:09 pm but failed to return by the 5 pm deadline.
Witnesses reported seeing the trio at various spots along Mall Road earlier in the day. When they didn’t make it back, the school principal immediately alerted the police and filed a formal complaint.
Authorities have registered a case under Section 137B of the BNS (kidnapping minors) and are pursuing multiple angles. CCTV footage is being reviewed, and checkpoints have been set up at all entry and exit points to Shimla. Police are also tracing possible vehicles the boys may have used.
Parents have been informed, and the search is ongoing.
