A government high school in Hassan district has achieved an impressive 100% pass percentage in the Karnataka SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) Examination 2025 for the eighth consecutive year, setting it apart from the overall state pass percentage of 66.14% for regular fresh students.
As mentioned, Hassan district itself performed exceptionally well with an 82.21% pass rate, ranking among the top districts in the state. This performance is part of a broader trend, with 921 schools across Karnataka achieving a perfect 100% pass rate. Girls outperformed boys, achieving a pass percentage of 74%, while boys recorded a pass rate of 58.07%.
The top scorers in the state included 22 students who secured full marks, with several coming from government schools. This success not only contributes to Hassan's standing as a high-performing district but also showing the potential for government schools to produce excellent academic outcomes despite challenges.
However, Bengaluru's BBMP high schools recorded a low pass percentage in the Karnataka SSLC 2025 examination. Out of 2,257 students who appeared from the 33 BBMP high schools, only 1,259 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 55.78%. Among them, just 78 students secured distinction by scoring 85% or above.
