Forbes has released its latest list of India’s richest individuals as of July 2025, marking the halfway point of the year. The ranking features familiar names and a few notable shifts, highlighting the dynamic fortunes of India’s billionaires across sectors like energy, infrastructure, technology, pharmaceuticals, and real estate.

Leading the list once again is Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, with a net worth of $115.3 billion. He holds the 15th spot globally and remains the only Asian in the elite $100 billion club. His diversified business empire continues to dominate sectors such as petrochemicals, retail, and telecom.

Gautam Adani, head of the Adani Group, ranks second in India with a fortune of $67 billion. Adani’s conglomerate, now India’s largest airport operator, recovered significantly after a major stock plunge in 2023, triggered by fraud allegations from the now-defunct Hindenburg Research.

In the fourth position is Savitri Jindal, the only woman on the list. With a net worth of $37.3 billion, she and her family lead the O.P. Jindal Group, a major player in steel and power. Jindal also serves as the group’s emeritus chair and remains active in politics.

Kushal Pal Singh, chairman emeritus of DLF, makes a new entry into the top 10. The 93-year-old real estate magnate led India’s largest listed property firm for decades and has now passed on leadership to his son, Rajiv Singh Pal.

According to Forbes, India is home to 205 billionaires, ranking third globally after the U.S. and China. However, their collective net worth stands at $941 billion, down from $954 billion last year, mainly due to market corrections affecting top industrialists.
