Bhopal’s Nishatpura area witnessed a tragic incident as a 30-year-old woman, Gauri Sisodiya, and her one-year-old daughter, Oni, fell from the rooftop of their residential building in Rajvansh Colony. Both succumbed to their injuries, according to police reports. Authorities are investigating whether the fall was accidental or intentional.

The mother reportedly had dinner with her family before heading upstairs for a walk, taking her infant along. Moments later, a loud crash alerted neighbors and family members. The duo was rushed to People’s Hospital, where Gauri was declared dead on arrival, and her daughter died during treatment.

Gauri’s husband, Gyanendra Sisodiya, said he had dropped his wife off before stepping out to buy groceries. A frantic call from his sister-in-law brought him back, only to find both injured after falling through a ventilation gap of the multi-storey building.

The police have registered an unnatural death case and scheduled post-mortem examinations. Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances of the fall.
