40-Year-Old Dies After Jumping in Front of Moving Train

CURCHOREM: A forty year old person from Curchorem, died by suicide, after he jumped in front of a moving goods train at Curchorem Station. He died instantly. The deceased was identified as Jayant Parmar.

Scores of people gathered at the Railway station. Parmar was residing at Curchorem on rent for many years. Locals said that there are no railway police at the station to prevent such accidents.

When there is need for railway police at the Curchorem Police station, the police have to come all the way from Vasco. Locals said that if there were railway police on duty, the suicide could have been prevented, since the man jumped from the railway station before the on coming train.
